![]() The formation of Darth Vader and seeing Anakin clamped into the suit was actually, IMO, one of the few really well done moments in the whole prequel trilogy, not just in content but in cinematography, staging, music, editing, and acting. Like much of the prequels, I'm not necessarily against what happened in the scene so much as I have an issue with how it was handled. ![]() I think it just invokes a "they should have known better" reaction, and for good reason. In fact, a prime example is in this clip: įor many, it's kind of hard at this point to see a "noooooo!" in something and not start laughing, whether intentional or not, so its inclusion in RotS was another unfortunate and cringeworthy moment. This is why you see it made fun of on countless episodes of The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, South Park, etc. ![]() It telegraphs an unsophisticated maudlin approach to character emotion and is usually a fallback for lazy writing and acting. The long, drawn out overdramatic "Nooooo!" has long been a pop cultural joke. ![]()
